Dear Family and Friends,

Little Em is adjusting very well to her parents.  She is quite a content
baby.  John and I are amazed at how little sleep you can get by on and still
have energy to do stuff.

As for little Em.  She is very strong, very pretty (everyone says so) and is
such a little sweetheart.  I can't seem to stop kissing her on her little
nose.  She has phases during the day called active alert and passive alert.
During active alert she is cooing a little, looking around and exercising
her reflexes and during passive alert she moves her eyes around and makes
faces.  Last night while I was changing her she noticed her mobile above her
crib and is now fascinated with the brightly colored bugs...she used to lay
there and fuss...but now she is content looking at her mobile.

As you can tell we're very, very happy with Little Em.  I'll keep sending
updates when possible...until next time.
